The slow cooling of the kiln creates the light purple micro crystals along the surface. The melon lines reflect the influence that nature has on Ben III's designs. After turning the vase, the piece is left to dry to a semi set stage. Then, a tool is used to make the lines into the clay. A beautiful accent to a special handmade vase. Measuring 5. 75"w
