NICK CAVE & the Bad Seeds We printed a gradient splitThere is a dark spirituality that I identify with throughout Nick's work and hoped to capture in the art. This may be the only time I can recall beginning a piece of art by illustrating the corner pieces versus the central image. The owls cross their wings as a parallel to the crossed bones in a skull and crossbones. They symbolize the Bad Seeds and serve as both a warning and a Memento Mori.
